Despite this sets icy theme, we think this set has potential to be a slow burner.

2023 was a strong year for fans of the Pokemon TCG, especially Japanese collectors. Popular sets like 151 brought many collectors back to the Pokemon franchise and fan favourites such as Shiny Treasure ex got a lot of hype from the community. Sometimes sets like Snow Hazard get overshadowed by super-stars like 151, making it easy to forget that, in the first place, they were a strong set to begin with. We feel that Snow Hazard for some collectors could be a diamond in the rough that just hasn't been brought to their attention.

For starters, lets look at the AR, SR and SAR that make up this set. Snow Hazard features an incredibly psychedelic and unique trio of Frigibax, Arctibax, and Baxcalibur cards by the artist Tomokazu Komiya. This artist already has a track record of creating distinctive and popular cards amongst TCG collector's and we think this evolution line is going to be a strong set that will gain rarity and popularity as time goes on.
In addition to these groovy cards, Snow Hazard has some great hits all around, from the rare Grusha SAR and SR trainer cards, to the popular gen II Marill AR. You can check out our video here where we go over some of the awesome chase cards you can get from this set. Sometimes the hype in TCG circles dictates what's valuable and what's not. However, its important to remember that as collectors, value is always changing, and sometimes it takes a while for value to reveal itself, but that doesn't mean it wasn't always there. Collect what you value, not just what everyone else does. If this set appeals to you, consider checking out our current deals on Snow Hazard, and if this snowy set doesn't light your fire, then take a look at the other great sets we have available at the Rare Candy Cart store!
